I can't believe we're finally posting this. It's taken over a year, and it's finally done. From a simple idea that SkyBolt and Drae Heart came up with, to inviting me to make the instrumental, to finding VA's for the intro, to finishing it up last night. What a journey! I gotta say, I didn't like the idea too much at first, but recently, it's got me pretty excited! We are all proud to finally post it, and we hope you enjoy it!

Also hope you can tolerate my awful Braeburn voice. XD

Lyrics:

Once 'pon a time, big and fat, the buffalo roamed where Appaloosa sat...

Owned by none.

Prancin' about, wild and free, the buffalo thought, 'How lucky are we!'

Blessed as one.

They never thought, that the day will come, when they would have to share the land they roam.

Seldom done.

The chief of the plains, wise and strong, Thunderhooves knew something was wrong

It's begun.

Then the day came, for the buffalo run, a sacred tradition impeded by none.

Here they come.

As they traversed the land that they had heired, they were stopped by a sight they could not bear.

BUM BUM BUM.

They looked around, to see the cause, they spotted a town with shocks 'n awes.

Tightly wrung.

He met with the Sheriff, a pony to be, who'd claimed the land for him and his steed.

Buffalos bummed.

Thunderhooves roared, "Our land this be, I hope our intent is taken indeed."

Judgement come.

The buffalo sang, for all to hear, while the settlers looked pained and covered their ears.

We will fight for Bovine freedom, until we get our way. We will run free, in our sacred lands, Todayy-y!

Hear our song!

But then a stallion spoke, "We've settled here, these lands were empty 'til ya'll appeared."

Ponies got some.

These ponies had traveled from far off lands, searching for solace, in a sea of sands.

Blisters stung.

They'd made their way, had walked for days, when they found paradise and decided to stay

Cele-bra-tion.

They set up town, toiled and worked, an orchard rose, from the fertile dirt.

The apples hung.

They worked and played, it was their new home. They thought it was theirs, that they were alone.

The only ones.

With a great rumbling, out of the blue, came the herd of buffalo charging on through.

Panic spun.

They talked, squabbled, bickered and fought. not getting anywhere, in story or plot.

Fought till dawn.

The argument escalated to a great degree. Still it availed despite many a plea.

Please no guns.

The settlers thought they could make a difference, by singing out loud....

...Despite buffalo preference

We will fight for Appaloosa, we built with sweat and faith. We will raise now our voices, Todayy-y!

Hear our song!

"Wait," cried a filly, thinking: 'Eureka!'. she bounced up and said: "Hey, I have an idea."

We may be divided
But of you all, I beg
To remember we're all hoofed
At the end of each leg

No matter what the issue
Come from wherever you please
All this fighting gets you nothing
But hoof and mouth disease
Arguing's not the way
Hey, come out and play!
It's a shiny, new day
So, what do you say?
You gotta share
You gotta care
It's the right thing to do
You gotta share
You gotta care
And there'll always be a way through

Both our diets, I should mention
Are completely vegetarian
We all eat hay and oats
Why be at each other's throats?
You gotta share
You gotta care
It's the right thing to do
And there'll always be a way

Thro-o-o-o-ugh!

When the singing had stopped, the crowd sat quiet. They considered the song, and judged it's merit.

That was dumb.

Then Thunderhooves rose, and made his voice heard: "If the orchard's not moved, it'll be crushed by our herd."

Annihilation.

High noon came, trees still in root. And there stood the Appleoosians, with pie in hoof.

Ponies with pies.

Thunderhooves' clan charged on down, intending to flatten the entire town.

Let them fly!

Amidst the battle, the bustle and clatter, The chief was pied with a mighty splatter.

Pie crust flung.

Downed he was at the peak of the fight, when the pie dribbled down, and he tasted a bite.

Yum, yum, YUM!

The great buffalo cheered, and praised the pie, for what he tasted sweet and oh, so right.

Reve-la-tion.

The Chief made a deal, and the ponies agreed. They can keep the trees, but the pies will be free!

That's the tale of Appaloosa, and the friendships they had struck. Together they'll build the future, for aaaallllll!

Now we're done! "Appaloosa!"""""
