I'm sure many of you have heard about Seeds of Kindness, but for those who haven't, it's a charity album put together by Bronies for Good and brony musicians to raise funds to get a clinic in Uganda running, and then build a green village in Burundi. I strongly encourage donating; not only will you helping out people in need, but you also get over two hours of amazing music! Seriously guys, if the community has managed to raise over 180 thousand bucks to make a documentary, I'm sure we can get together to contribute even more to a cause like this. I /hope/.

Anyway, this song is really old, and it's been floating around for a while, but I still thought I'd share it, now that I have permission to. I was always touched by Twilight's story, how she ended up almost completely alone in Ponyville, and then experienced things and met ponies who turned that around, and made that strange, new place her new home. Having moved away from my hometown more or less recently, feeling lonely and alienated in a strange place, I can relate to that to an extent, so this song is a bit personal as well. I dedicate it to all the special people who have made Mexico City nights the happiest nights of my life, because I know I won't be alone here anymore. C:

Also, in case anyone's interested, I also recorded a rushed, rough, half assed, done-in-one-take version of this song, and put it up over at my tumblr:

As for new music? Yeah, I know it's been a while. Trust me, I've been itching to put out something new for a while now, but real life has been kinda hectic for me these past few months, and it doesn't help when I spread the little free time I get between four or so songs at the same time. Still, summer break is coming up, and I'm hoping to be way more productive then, music wise. c: Fingers crossed.

Thanks a million for listening. It means so much. c:

Duh, lyrics:

Teacher, I can't make sense of your plan
I know you know the stories just as well as I
You too must have seen the signs
So why'd you send me away?
(I need you to have faith)
I'm sure I'd be able to help if I stayed

But I'll go if that's what you desire
I'll do my duty to you, but I wonder...

Teacher, I just don't see the point
In setting up a celebration
While the last days of our nation might be upon us
But nobody listens to the threat
of the wicked night mare's
eternal night of despair

I don't want to hear about the party downstairs
I don't care if the punch is amazing
Everypony in this town is crazy
And as I look up at the stars
Missing all that once was mine
The joyous sounds from below
just make me realize that

Ponyville nights are the loneliest nights of my life
'Cause I'm far away from everything I used to rely on

Teacher, sorry to have doubted
I was proven wrong by those I've come to call my friends
Did you know all along I'd learn so much in my stay?
And did you know that though my duty was done
I wouldn't wanna leave;
not after I had found this new kind of magic?
Did you know I had it in me?
Was I always meant to find it?

Nonetheless, I'm glad to keep it
I know there's no other place I'd rather be
And as I look up at the stars
I can feel a spark alive inside of me
Funny how nothing worked as planned
Yet I've never felt this alive

Ponyville nights are the happiest nights of my life
'Cause I found a place to call home,
a place where I belong

I found the place where I belong
