Okay, story of this song. It's quite a story, I went into this thinking I was going to put together a fairly faithful VIP of my old collab with Matthew Mosier, 'Phoenix Dance.' But once I had built up a proper chord progression out of it, I already had a different song, so I decided to just roll with it, and keep with the theme of a phoenix's rebirth. Not only is this something of a rebirth for an old song, it's also something of a rebirth for my production. I spent a lot more time mixing and mastering this one than I ever have before, and I really hope it shows enough to warrant a name that translates into 'From Ashes.'
