About time I did a non-depressing nice soft ballad! This song is about Fluttershy before she met her friends that eventually made up the Mane 6. It starts out as a song about how she wishes she didn't feel so different from everybody else, and how she wishes she could find someone who understands her. As the song progresses however, she realizes that she isn't alone, even though she is unique and there's nothing ever wrong with that. This song is a song I know a lot of people can relate to, and I certainly can as well. So beyond the meanings that tie in to the show, this song is about the fact that no one is ever truly alone.
