Probably one of my darkest songs ever, Shadows is a collaboration with one of my favorite musicians in the fandom and someone I'm sure you all know. The song is about inner darkness, and feeling the scars of the battle that takes place in every mind. It's something of a sequel to Monster, as Discord accepts his evil nature and throws away his desire to use his great power for good. Alternatively, the song can be seen as a story of hopelessness and falling into the depths of one's own mind. It sets the premise for the album, From All Sides, and redemption is found in later tracks.
