While a little later than I expected (but better late than never), I'm finally releasing the song that I know you've all been waiting for since my last video in December! I worked hard on this one in the free time I had in the past two months (I redid everything since that preview), and I'm pretty proud of the way it turned out in the end, both in terms of the mix and the composition itself. I really went "emo" with this song, which is fitting because I've been really feeling these lyrics in the past few weeks. I hope you guys will feel the feels of this song as well and enjoy.

A couple of announcements: 1) I haven't found a good stretch of time when I'm free and no one else is around to do the Q&A video. Also, I've clearly been slacking in general, and music comes first. But soon, probably. 2) I had a couple of "fun" little music projects/collabs that include a cover that I wanted to release first, but they've become bigger projects and will take a bit longer. PS. I realize the video quality is inconsistent across the three episodes I sampled from, even though they're all supposedly 720p. Without getting too technical, I tried to find new sources with better quality, but they didn't work out for editing, so I gave up. Keep in mind that the music is what matters most anyway.

BACKGROUND:
This song is for all the people who are falling behind their friends, having to watch them have what they don't, and trying to forget about the past.
I wrote this song first about a past relationship that didn't work out, but this led to writing second about the present, where most of my friends have since gotten into relationships and left me behind, both figuratively and literally (a few moved and others hung out less because they got into relationships). Basically, the song is about dealing with that past, dealing with the present, and trying to move beyond the reassurances that my friends give, because those don't change anything unless I change myself. Of course, the lyrics are intentionally open-ended for easy application to whatever feels you happen to be feeling :P
The song also relates to and gains inspiration from Pinkie Pie in "Griffon the Brush Off," possibly my favorite episode "Party of One," and the very new "Pinkie Pride." In all of these episodes, she feels or becomes left out from her friends in some way and wishes she could join them.
