Hmmm, it's been a while since I've uploaded anything hasn't it. I keep finding myself in the position of having to rush tracks to meet deadlines but then I'm not happy with the quality so I hold off on sharing them because eventually I intend to improve them. However this track is an exception. I don't expect many people to like it: fans of crossbreed seem to be few and far between, but it is easily one of my proudest works and does an accurate job of showcasing my sound design. If you're not feeling it on the first listen, put on some headphones and listen for the background ambience and intricacies.

This track is in homage to Cloudy Skies' awesome adventure fic Within And Without which I highly suggest you read. Note that I don't often reccomend fics, so know that when I do it's because they're damn good. Though the first couple chapters are a bit dramatic, things quickly even out. The fic takes place in season 1 and features the best written Pinkie Pie I've ever seen (often even better than the show) as well as a very impressive narrative surrounding Luna's insecurities, the power of friendship, and the importance of forgiveness.

For those that do want to read it, I won't want to spoil anything as the scene this song represents is easily the most important and most anticipated event of the story, but to better understand the track it should be said that this scene represents Twilight's desire to help liberate Luna from her past even against the goddess' expressed will. Does Twilight allow Luna to continue her self-imposed nightmare or does she risk her friendship in pursuit of something greater? The stakes are high and the song is appropriately dark, driving, and grand to showcase my best efforts to capture what has remained to be my favorite story.
