I was not originally going to upload this song because I was self-conscious about the mixing. There was some subtle artifacting going on with some of the sounds which I couldn't seem to fix - I tried EVERYTHING, and it only seemed to get worse. That got me really discouraged to the point where I scrapped it.

But today I realized something. I'm not a professional. Sure, I do my best to sound good, but at the end of the day, I'm not Skrillex or Alex S or The Living Tombstone. I'm just me. The point of my music isn't to be professional - honestly, I'm still pretty far from that. The point is to make songs that people can enjoy, songs with meaning and purpose and emotion and hope. Sometimes I feel like I'm the worst musician on the face of the planet, but a lot of you would tell me otherwise.

So, that's what this is. I'm kind of sad that it didn't turn out as well as I wanted in terms of sound design, but I thought some of you might enjoy the other aspects of this song, and that's why I'm posting it. It's about Starlight's alternate future double when Equestria is just a wasteland as a result of her (potential) decisions. It's also about a conversation with an imaginary voice in her head - or who knows, maybe it's real. I hope you find some enjoyment in this song, regardless of the sound design.
