The word "Overdrive" here is a play on the word "Overture". In the context of the song it means "taking care of business quickly". The "business" is Luna's tyrannical sister Celestia who has the world and everything to her bidding. After returning to Earth and being rendered docile by the Elements of Harmony, Luna suffers alone. Information is hush-hush under Celestia's rule but the truth of what actually happened is creeping out. A resistance is formed. Nightmare Moon will be chained no longer.
