So this week when I was talking with some friends on Skype I was told about something called Toastbeard, a weekly pony music composing event. Hearing that many would be participating, I decided to give it a go myself.
The task was to create a pirate themed song with one of either the main- or background characters from the show. At first I wanted to make this song about Pipsqueak; a young boy with big dreams of adventure and fun. Thus I made this song lighthearted but adventurious. But as I looked around for voiceclips, I realised that Pipsqueak doesn't have very many dialogues, and even less fitting ones in my case. So I decided to use Applejack instead, which in my opinion had the best soundclips for me to play around with.
I would have made some lyrics if I actually knew how to sing, meh. I hope you'll be satisfied enough with an orchestral combination of both cinematic and videogame style. Please enjoy!
