The proceeds of this song will go toward the mother of the boy I wrote it about. She holds an event every March 28th called Shaggy Day in his memory in which we raise money for suicide prevention. On March 28th, 2010 my community lost a dear friend to suicide. He was one of the happiest boys you could ever meet. Looking into his baby blues let even the loneliest of people feel as if they had at least one friend in the world. I may have succumbed to my own depression had he not given me so much support. There are several people in the world just like him that are struggling and people that have lost loved ones to suicide. I want to spread a message to anybody that might be struggling and let you know that you are not alone. Keep fighting, not only for yourself, but those that need you.
