For this video we thought it was important to get to our routs as well as the shows. The videos that we have previously done, were fun to make but there was never really a true sense of purpose, like everything we were doing was simply because it could be done. This time around we thought we should finally put an end to this frivolousness, you create something that would truly touch the hearts of all our viewers, everywhere.
After settling on this goal we needed to find an appropriate song to match it. We went though all the different songs that had been created for My Little Pony, but every time we thought we had found one, we thought it would work, we thought our search would finally come to an end… It seemed to throw us back where we began: with nothing. This task seemed impossible, there were simply too many variables. Were the lyrics to causal? Was the instrumentation interesting enough? Was the song to long? Was the song to short? Where the voices beyond our range? Would our audience just simply not understand the brilliants of the song? Every candidate we came across seemed to generate more questions than it did resolve them? But eventually we found one, it was so simple yet complex, so short yet so lengthy and so ugly but from another angle it was beautiful; we had found our song, it was as if we had found salvation.
The final challenge for this endeavor was to figure out the arrangement of the song. It went though many different styles, from rock, to pop, to rap, to skat, from death metal to living wood, from grindcore to mindedsaw and from post-jazz-fusion-groove-soft-metalcore-with-6/9-feels, to Noh; but none of these different styles seemed to work for this song and it’s deep provoking subject matter. But, after many hours of work and demo track after track we realized something that we should have known from the very beginning, the song was already perfect, so why should we change a thing?
From this point on, everything was quite smooth sailings. The parts were recorded, the performances were videoed and edited; a couple of us did almost drowned in our own tears from the sheer beauty of the music, but that’s a story for another time.
So, without any further ado, please enjoy, what we believe to be one of Draconequus' finest moments, our cover of The My Little Pony Opening Theme.

One does not need to know the lyrics to know the true beauty of this song; simply close your eyes, and let it fill your soul.
