When I first saw this episode I was expecting a different ending, with a long apology scene by Trixie, hugs, tears and all that stuff! It wasn't like that, maybe it's better as it is; but I wanted to expand that ending with music, so I took these 3 notes (A-G-A plus harmony) from William Anderson's background music and built a whole movement upon that. Almost every theme you hear is derived from those 3 notes. I also wanted to have a big contrast between this french, dry, carefree sound and the strong, dramatic middle section, reminiscent of Tchaikovsky. Once again two aspect of an apology: the lightness you feel after the apology, but also anger and regret when you think about the bad things you did.
