Interesting fact on the Spider's "Teutonic cape." In the Polish language some of Orb-weaver spider's are called "pająk krzyżak" (krzyzak). Krzyż means cross in Polish. Krzyżacy (plural) was also name used for Teutonic Knights in Poland. This spider is wearing Teutonic Knights cape. The artist is Polish, so it reflects that.

Personally, I think the art is freaking awesome and you should definitely check the Ziom's work out.
